Tutwiler Community Education Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families in Tutwiler by addressing real community needs. Our journey began in 1983 with a holistic vision of health, now expanded to include programs that focus on unity, empowerment, and local leadership. We aim to create a future full of hope, opportunity, and lasting impact for all.

Our Initiatives and Programs
Community Programs
In partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta, our programs give Tutwiler's young people a safe, structured place during critical out-of-school hours. Everything we do is built around three core goals: academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character & leadership.
Educational Support
Our academic support helps Delta students thrive — with tutoring, literacy support, and homework help that build confidence in the classroom and open pathways to a brighter future.
Empowerment Services
We help young people grow into confident, responsible leaders. Through mentorship and community involvement, our character and leadership programs nurture the skills that shape a stronger next generation for Tutwiler.
Health and Well-being
Healthy lifestyles are a priority for us. Through nutrition, physical activity, and social-emotional learning, we help Delta kids build the habits and resilience that support their whole well-being.
